These terms govern the use of Katai, a karate training service with automated video analysis. By creating an account or subscribing to a plan you accept this version of the terms.
Account and permitted use
You must provide accurate information, protect your means of access and use the service only for lawful training. You may not try to get around limits, access other people’s accounts, interfere with the service or upload content you do not have the right to use.
Subscriptions, trials and cancellation
Stripe processes payments. Before you confirm Checkout you are shown the plan, price, applicable taxes, trial length and date of the first charge. The subscription renews until you cancel it from the billing portal. Cancelling stops future renewals and keeps access until the end of the period already paid, except in cases of fraud, dispute or breach.
Refunds apply according to mandatory law and the information shown when subscribing. A free trial can only be used once per customer.
Family seats and accounts for other people
You can buy one or more seats for other people (for example, your children). Each seat is a Katai account and is activated with the code you will see in your web account. Whoever buys the seats (the guardian) declares that they are an adult and, if a seat is for a minor, that they are the minor’s parent or legal guardian and authorise its use. They are responsible for the accuracy of that declaration, for whom they give each code to and for how the seats are used.
Payment, renewal and cancellation work as for any subscription, for the number of seats bought. If you add or remove seats, the amount is adjusted proportionally for the current period. If the subscription is cancelled or a payment fails, all seats lose paid access.
From your web account you can see who uses each seat, pause it, free it or delete the account using it. Whoever uses a seat cannot delete their account on their own: they can ask you to from the app.
Children under 14 can only use the paid features with a seat bought by their guardian; they cannot subscribe from the app.
Automated analysis
Corrections are for guidance only and do not replace a qualified instructor, medical advice or safety measures during practice. We do not guarantee a specific score or the detection of every technical error.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, improve or temporarily interrupt the service. If a material change affects your subscription, it will be communicated before it takes effect where required.
